 Ms. Kathryn Flynn will begin this 2-Part presentation with a history and exploration of the New Deal and its effects on southwest New Mexico, including the many public works that helped create employment opportunities. The second part of the session, which will occur after a brief intermission, is a Community Conversation focused on social safety nets for citizens of Southwest New Mexico and Grant County. The panel of guest commentators will include David Chandler, Executive Director of The Commons, and Christina Wofford, Director of Serving People in Need (SPIN).
